Areal is a Belgian developer and manufacturer of immersive audio technologies. Spanning live sound, broadcast, studio recording, post-production and AV installation, we believe in the power of spatial audio to entertain, educate and inspire.

IT STARTED HERE
Our journey began at the Tomorrowland festival 2018, where first started to experiment with different immersive audio technologies to enhance DJ performances.
Object-based systems demanded dedicated spatial content. Software introduced too much latency. The product we wanted simply did not exist. So, we decided to make it ourselves. Prototype number one was built in the garden shed.
The finished unit has already been experienced by tens of thousands of music lovers.

Areal is on a mission to create accessible products with intuitive, streamlined workflows, made to excel in environments scaling from the epic to the everyday. What if every audience could enjoy spatial audio, even with regular stereo content? What if immersive content could be created anywhere?
